In an extensive training period, these candidates will learn the skills they will need on Mars and on their journey there. The combined skill set of each astronaut team member will cover, contains a wide variety of disciplines.

One thousand years from now, everyone on Earth will still remember who the first humans on Mars were. These brave 100, will  lead a journey into space, where no man has ever gone before.

Going by 2024

Although the Mars one project will be a once in a lifetime opportunity, and also provide useful knowledge for the astronauts back at earth, it will still be hard to go through with the project in time.
