To those of us who were able to watch, and to those who missed it-the Grammy’s were last Sunday and we eagerly watched a total of 83 awards handed out to some of the most talented musicians in the world.
The Big Winners
Sam Smith won four Grammy’s- Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best new Artist, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Beck -Album of the Year , Best Rock Album for Morning Phase.
A Great Big World with Christina Aguilera- Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance.
Pharrell Williams- Best Pop Solo Album for Happy.
The Best Performers
1. Beyoncé didn’t win the title for best album, although many claimed she deserved it. Nonetheless, her performance of “Take my Hand, Precious Lord” claimed the hearts of all who watched.
2. Sam Smith performed “Stay with Me” with a beautiful twist- added by the strong voice of Mary J. Blige, the two made a great pair.
3. Sia’s performance of “Chandelier” exceeded everyone’s expectations. The set and dancing were on point – and we were provided with a fresh new twist to this overplayed radio song.
Many were of course disappointed with the results, but that’s unavoidable (as we can see with Kanye’s interruption again). For more Grammy’s info, check out “2015 Grammy’s Red (Kanye West) Carpet Fashion” by Bhumika Phanindra.
