Homecoming Dance

By: Bhumika Phanindra

Hey guys! As you must have heard, Homecoming was on Saturday and it was by far the best dance that BASIS Chandler has thrown so far. There were also some amazing dresses and suits walking around. This week I’m going to go through what kinds of dresses (for the ladies) and suits (for you gentlemen out there) you should wear to homecoming next year. At the end of this post, I will show you a picture of what I wore to the dance.

Rules                                                                                                            Rule #1: DRESSES! Homecoming is more of a semi-formal is for cute short dresses instead of formal long dresses which are for Prom. Plus in short dresses, you can dance the night away. You don’t need to wear something super formal and sparkly. A simple dress with maybe some lace or a cute pattern will do. Same for you dudes, you don’t need to wear a full on suit, you could just wear a simple dress shirt and dress pants with a nice tie or a bow-tie. I even saw a senior rocking his suspenders.

Rule #2: ACCESSORIZE! Accessorizing is important because it expresses your style. It really pops out on you and customizes your dress. A cute statement necklace and a fashionable bracelet will do you good

Rule #3: SHOES! You always need to wear what’s comfortable so you can dance all night but that doesn’t mean it can’t be the best looking shoes in the house. If you don’t like heels, no problem, there are plenty of cute flats that work with any dress. Keep in mind that there are so many cute heels or wedges that are super comfy.

Here is what I wore to the dance. Sorry for the really bad pictures, I’m not a great photographer.
