Musick Beats the Buzzer!

by Ishaaon Sivansh

On Friday night, the BASIS Bobcats played one of their closest game in recent memory. Their opponent, El Dorado, started off strong in the first quarter, building a 23-6 lead. Abhiram Tadepalli kept the Bobcats in the game. Tadepalli scored 25 points and Aditya Konduri had 17 rebounds to keep the Bobcats alive. To finally put El Dorado away, BASIS needed some last second heroics. With eleven seconds remaining, Nassim Idouraine dribbled the ball up the court and dished it to Brandon Musick, who scored from the block with two seconds remaining and no timeouts. A final half-court shot fell short and BASIS walked away the victors.
