Your One-Stop Holiday Gift Guide

By Adithy Hassan

“The best fashion advice I say would be just to do what makes you feel comfortable and what makes you feel cute, and that’s how you’re gonna look your best ’cause when you feel your best, everybody else can feel it too.”-Ariana Grande

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with stuffing your face with pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes, tons and tons of black friday shopping, being thankful for everyone and everything around you, or simply snuggled up in bed watching Netflix all day (because that’s certainly what I did on most days.)

Since Christmas is nearing us, and I find getting presents earlier on is very helpful in lowering your stress during the holidays, I’m here to map out a gift guide for those special people in your life. Regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas, it’s never a wrong time to show how much you love the ones around you.

1. Girls:

  • Perfume or body lotion (My favorite scents belong to the infamous Bath and Body Works)
  • Candles (who doesn’t love candles?- Yankee Candle and The Body Shop are sure to fulfill your desires of choosing the perfect present!)
  • Chocolate (this is no-brainer since almost everyone loves chocolate)- Lindt, Godiva, Ghirardelli are classier choices to perfectly pair with another item and pull your present all together
  • Jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, the options are endless!- Claire’s and Icing are the way to go for a more wallet-friendly option)

2. Guys:

  • His favorite band’s new album
  • A nice watch (if you’re willing to splurge)
  • His favorite sport’s team gear (i.e. jersey, cap etc.)
  • tickets to his favorite sport’s team
  • headphones (Beats by Dre are a great option if you’re willing to make an investment)

3. Mom:

  • Nice jewelry (Things Remembered is a great store for sentimental pieces)
  • Handbag/ purse
  • Her favorite perfume
  • A recently-released must-have book
  • Shoes (this is the time to get that pair you’ve noticed her eyeing the last time you went shopping together)

4. Dad:

  • The age-old tie
  • His favorite cologne
  • a watch
  • wall- art/ decor for his office

I hope this gives you an idea of what to give your loved ones, and always remember, “It’s the thought that counts.” Till next week, XOXO Adithy.
