Rockstar’s been at it with Grand Theft Auto V and did it’s best to keep the re-release an enhancement to the current generation consoles. In addition to better graphics and a brand new first-person mode, the next-generation remake supports a plethora of new features. Additional vehicles, weapons, and events and an enhanced multiplayer mode will all be in the re-release of the game for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Oh, and online heists is something Rockstar promises, so they’ll be coming out soon as well.
With all this new content, the question for die-hard GTA fans isn’t whether the remake is worth it; It’s the question of which platform to get it on. With the PC version, you’ll have to wait for it to come out in January, but if Grand Theft Auto 4 is any indication, it’ll definitely be worth it.PC players have the only platform that supports player-made modifications. This makes the game extremely fun and delivers a full-on customization option that usually is not available for console users.
With the console wars still waging on, Sony has decided to take it one step further with Grand Theft Auto V by getting people go opt in with the Playstation 4 copy of the hit game. Sony released a short article on PlayStation.Blog which gave players some insight on how the DualShock 4 controller changes the game with GTA, literally.
Grand Theft Auto V will use the DualShock 4′s innovative touchpad to make playing the game a little more smooth and fun. Swiping the touchpad with your finger will allow players to shuffle through weapons, change camera angles, or switch radio stations. The touchpad is also used to switch between third and first-person modes. The controller’s speaker will become a police radio when players drive around Los Santos. It’s also a phone when a side character calls up. All the while, the DualShock 4 controller’s light bar changes colors depending on which character a player is using. If you thought that was a creative use of the light bar, you’ll love this: the light bar will flash red and blue when a police chase is in progress!
Whether you believe Rockstar is creative or not, it’s no doubt that Grand Theft Auto’s silly and ridiculous vibe makes it easy to imagine developers making the DualShock 4 controller act like a police siren. Let us know in the comments what you think about the remake of Grand Theft Auto V!
