For years BASIS schools have coexisted with relatively no communication. Until now…
This past Veteran’s Day, seniors from BASIS Chandler, Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Peoria came together to mingle. 70 degree weather, sunny, and breezy Mountain View Park in Scottsdale provided the perfect location for all the seniors to get to know each other. From speed meeting to sand volleyball to pickup basketball, BASIS seniors had no problem intermixing. Bonding over food, college applications, and the ebb and flow of senior year, the four hours passed by enjoyably.
The smashing success of the first annual BASIS Senior Meet and Greet set a precedent for many social gatherings to come. By the end of the day, more than a few appointments had been made to finish the endless conversations that began on that gorgeous Tuesday afternoon.
As like minded peers, our competitive edge only served to keep conversation and games interesting. We learned about our fellow BASIS schools in the perfect, relaxed atmosphere. It was definitely an unforgettable day, and I know we’re all excited to meet again.
