Sometimes…don’t you just want to curl up in a corner and read?  But what popular book series would be a good option to peruse in that little niche? Read on to find out!

10. The Mortal Instruments

With a grand total of six books, Cassandra Clare’s famous series is about a girl named Clary who discovers a world of shadow hunters, vampires, warlocks, werewolves, and faeries when searching for her missing mother. With pages filled with romance, adventure, comedy, and fantasy, these books have so much to offer.

9. Twilight Saga 

Authored by Stephanie Meyers, the Twilight Saga is about a girl named Bella Swan who moves to Forks, Washington to live with her dad and ends up falling in love with a sparkling vampire named Edward Cullen. Bella also becomes friends with Jacob, a Quileute Indian, who soon falls in love with Bella. Since this series combines both love triangles and supernatural creatures, these books were sure to make it on a popularity list!

7. The Series of Unfortunate Events

Adding up to a total of 13 books, this series is about three orphaned siblings who are taken in by Count Olaf and then removed from his custody by Mr. Poe. Count Olaf begins chasing after the children in order to steal their inherited fortune. Read this book and discuss these unfortunate events with all your friends!

6. Delirium Trilogy

These  books are about a dystopian future where love is thought of as a disease. The main character, Lena, falls in love with a boy named Alex a few months before she gets a shot that prevents her from falling in love.

5. The Maze Runner Series

Four enthralling books of this series are currently out, but a fifth book is set to be released in 2016. Written by James Dashner, the first book is about a guy called Thomas who comes up through an elevator to a mysterious place called The Glades, without any memories. The Glades contains a maze with monsters, and most of the people there, including Thomas, want to find a way out. Both the second and third book are sequels to the first one, and the fourth one is a prequel. Before you decide to hit the hay, open up these books, and you’ll want to stay up all night!

4.Percy Jackson & the Olympians  and The Heroes of Olympus

Both series authored by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson & the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus  are each comprised of five books. Engulfed in Greek myths, these books are about demigod adventures, in which The Heroes of Olympus books are the sequels to Percy Jackson & the Olympians. Don’t forget to check these out!

3. Divergent Trilogy

These three books, written in a dystopian vision, talks about a futuristic society that is divided into five factions: Abnegation, Amity, Dauntless, Candor, and Erudite. The main character, Tris, was born an Abnegation but switched to Dauntless, and she has find a way to hide the results of a test that proved that she did not fully belong to any of these factions and was in fact Divergent.

2. The Hunger Games Trilogy

Also a dystopian and futuristic novel, these books are about 12 districts that participate in the Hunger Games, a bloody and ruthless competition. This story is rather unique, for it brings bloodshed and romance into one. When you read the trilogy, may the odds be ever in your favor!

Rowling, is about a youthful wizard named Harry Potter who attends the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The main storyline recounts Harry’s quest to defeat the evil Voldemort, who wants to take over the wizarding world. These novels offer enjoyment to each and every reader, and there’s not doubt you’ll fall in love with this book too!
