When people think of the Cowboys, most often they joke around. But the Cowboys aren’t a joke anymore; they are a force to be reckoned with. They have a five game winning streak, and last week they over came a rough start with a stupendous victory to win it 30-23. They boasted incredible stats with 401 yards including 115 yards rushing by DeMarco Murray. Murray joined Hall of Fame great Jim Brown to become the second player to have a 100 yard rushing game in each of his first six starts of the season.
In the last three years the Cowboys have gone only 8-8 to miss the playoffs. This year the Cowboys have proven that they are a threat after defeating the defending super bowl champions, the Seahawks. The Cowboys were down 10-0 in the first quarter due to a blocked punt returned for a touchdown. The Cowboys overcame the deficit with two touchdowns thrown by Tony Romo and one rushing by Murray, along with three field goals.
This season, the Cowboys have only lost to the 49ers in week one and that was when Romo was still trying to recover from a back injury. The Cowboys this season have beaten the Titans, Rams, Saints, and the Texans. They have a 5-1 record with a five game winning streak! The last time they started with a 5-1 record was in 2007. And in that year they finished 13-3. For the rest of the season some major threats are the Cardinals, the Colts, and the Eagles.
If they keep this up, the Cowboys will be an incredibly strong force in the NFL.
